1 med green bell pepper chopped
1 med onion, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
a little oil
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb. sausage
2 cans spaghetti sauce (Hunt's traditional)
15 oz ricotta cheese
1/2 cup parmesan, grated
Italian seasoning, parsley, salt
9 lasagna noodles
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Saute pepper, onion, and garlic in oil. Add beef and sausage and brown. Drain and add to spaghetti sauce. In a small bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan, and seasonings to taste. Boil lasagna noodles until al dente.
In a 9x13 pan, layer a small amount of sauce, noodles (3), more sauce, small dollops of cheese mixture every inch or so, and mozzarella. Repeat layers. Repeat again, omitting the cheese mixture.
Cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
Remove foil and bake about 20 mins more until cheese is browned.
