Grail (Author: Stephen R. Lawhead)

NOTE: This review is the whole cycle. I'll break it apart later. Honestly, when I first read this trillogy, I was kind of stunned, since I had only read the version(s) of the story as told with the whole Arthur/Gwenevier thing. After reading SRL's, I decided that I liked his better, but was not sure which one was more true to life. So I went out and bought the original "le Morte de Atur" or however you spell it, and have yet to read it. (Remember, never do today what you can put off until tomorrow!) The first three were the entire cycle, but I guess Lawhead decided he didn't want it to end there, so he wrote the last two novels which take place somewhere in the middle to end of the third. Pendragon is more about the exploits of Arthur, and how he fights off the Vandal (read Vikings.) The fifth book is about a search for the Holy Grail (like you couldn't tell that from the title!) It is told from a different perspective then the others. I won't tell you how it ends, just that you will really want to read it! If you like literature about the grail, go for it.
