Dune. There is no way of denying that this book is the single best SF novel on multiple of levels. The sheer creative genius behind the mysterious peoples involved gives way to a wonderful story of the struggle for power, love and unavoidable destiny. As Paul Muad'dib faces his friends and his enemies, we see the story of growth from young adult to maturity. A journey of awareness and the struggle for knowledge of truth.
