Corn Bread

Ingredients:
1 cup Albers Yellow Corn Meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions:
1. Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Combine milk, oil and egg in small bowl; mix well.
2. Add milk mixture to flour mixture; stir just until blended. Pour into greased 8-inch-square pan.
3. Bake in preheated 400-degree (F) oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm.
Notes:
Sweeter variation: Combine 1/2 cup cornmeal, 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 2/3 cup granulated sugar, 1 Tbsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt in medium bowl. Combine 1/3 cup oil, 3 Tbsp melted butter or margarine, 2 eggs and 1 1/4 cups milk in small bowl. Combine as above. Pour into greased 8-inch-square pan. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 35 minutes.
